About
Software Engineer. Creator. Thinker.
I see problems through a product lens – always asking why before how.
I'm Szymon Chudy – a product-oriented software engineer who started building websites back when layouts were crafted in Photoshop, hand-coded with HTML tables, and running on PHP 4.
That's the moment when frontend became my thing.
Today I focus on frontend architecture, help teams ship faster, and make pragmatic decisions that move products forward – all while staying hands-on in product work.
T-Shaped
Frontend is my home base – where I'm sharpest and most effective. But I'm a strong believer in the T-shaped approach.
I've worked as a Senior Fullstack Engineer on multiple projects, mostly with AWS Serverless services. Does that make me a full time backend guy? Not really – but it means I'm always ready to go deep when the project needs it.
Beyond shipping code, I enjoy mentoring engineers and participating in hiring – growing people and teams is part of the job I genuinely care about.
I'm always exploring new tools and technologies – lately, that means a lot of AI tooling. A side project I built recently earned the best project recognition at 10xDevs. Turns out you can ship a solid MVP surprisingly fast these days.
Speaking
I enjoy sharing what I've learned. Here are some talks I've given:
More coming in 2026 – stay tuned!
Outside of Tech
I've worn many hats over the years – some before tech, some alongside it. Here are some great ice-breaker topics if we ever meet:
Family First
Husband and father. Everything else comes second.
Active Lifestyle
Playing in an amateur tennis league, hiking trails, and running to stay sharp and recharge. Recently also ice bathing!
Former Professional Musician
Toured 7 countries, played over 1k shows, sold over 100k records.
YouTube Creator
Grew a 47k-subscriber channel, built a 5k newsletter, and premium courses. All by myself.
Guitar School Founder
Taught over a hundred students, developed a unique curriculum, managed all aspects of the business.
Run Boutique Web Agency
Worked with local businesses and NGOs to create custom websites, from client acquisition to delivery.
Those experiences taught me to think end-to-end – understand users, shape the experience, build it, and keep improving it.
I bring that mindset to engineering, taking ownership of problems holistically and delivering products that work and bring value to both – users and businesses.
